Fundraising

Each team is responsible for raising the money required to pay for all house building materials for the home and latrine ($6,200). While this may seem to be an intimidating number for some, it's really quite attainable with just a bit of effort.

First off, all donations are 100% tax-deductible. Some teams may have various sources for raising the money for the home. We've found though that if the responsibility to raise funds is distributed across all team members, the task is quite easy (comes out to about $300 per volunteer). We'll provide you with a sponsorship brochure that tells the Project Mexico story, a template for a promotional email (a very effective way to raise money), and all the encouragement you can take.
